Postseason Participant Profiles

Mets – Willets Point
Sep 28 2013 07:43 PM

I posted this idea in the KTE thread, but Frayed Knot suggested I start a new thread to get more attention.

The basic idea is to write something similar to a KTE for all the teams in the postseason so as to prepare us for viewing these games. If you wrote a KTE for one of the teams in the playoffs it would probably be pretty easy to just update it for the postseason. Of course there are some teams that the Mets didn't play this season which would require some more research. I'll be happy to take one of those teams, the Red Sox, since I have some hometown knowledge. Frayed Knot has also offered to write up something for one of the teams. So we'll need 8 more volunteers, or if we can wait until the Wild Card games are played and then we'll only need 6 volunteers.

I tried that in 2006, after posting the MFY one that took me into the wee hours of the morning I got a few...lets say cease and desist responses for my project.

Yea, I don't think that's the same thing at all.

KC almost sounds like the voice of reason. Don't see that
too often any more!

Great. Now I can do a baseball card thread for the AL playoff teams that didn't play the Mets this season.

Re: Postseason Participant Profiles

This is interesting. MLB.TV carries the game and they allow you to choose which camera you want to view the action though. Individually or 4 at once. Five cameras total.

The field is set, for MLB at least. We need 2 to 4 more people to get this thing going.

If this thing does indeed get off the ground I'll take the Cardinals.
And the only problem with taking the Pirates is that they're not assured of getting beyond the one game. Whoever wants them should be prepared to take the Reds if they win the WC game.

That's a heckuva lot of players to share with an AL West team.

I like the Ed Charles card. Had no idea that KC wore red.

I don't do KTE's. I do the cards. It's mostly mindless, and therapeutic, especially when the Bingo Hall's closed for the day.

Seriously, there was only a 40-man roster on the Red Sox page when I posted this, but it's 25-man now.

I hear ya, usually it doesn't get updated until they play their first game.
