I've been keepin' track of every baseball card thread of one time Mets in the uniforms of their current opponents. The cities. The Mets. Pittsburgh and Philly and Ginsberg and Willey. I've got my checklist and my ballot for the 2013 winner of the I've Been Everywhere, Man award.

I wonder if he can get a couple of more teams before retiring so he can play on exactly half of the franchises.

He was also carded by the Stros and Jays -- two teams the Mets didn't play in 2013.

Yeah, that's part of it. Two other elements are:
[list][*]Relievers tend to move more than most.[/*:m]
[*]Guys who've closed but never landed a big fat closers contract... who doesn't need that? Those guys are totally fungible. If the Mets don't sign 41-year-old LaTroy Hawkins, somebody else will, and it won't be for no big league minimum neither.[/*:m][/list:u]
