Wednesday Addams takes her name from the folk rhyme "Monday's Child" in which the poet declares "Wednesday's child is full of woe." Well, so is Wednesday's music, as you see here form a lot of filler tracks from second tier acts, rather than singles from top acts. That doesn't mean there aren't good songs here, just that where you might find them may not be as obvious. An unhappy worker you know somewhere likes to speak of Wednesday as "Hump Day." If he or she can just get over that hump, she or he's rolling toward the weekend. But it's hump day for the polling also, so let's participate and get through Wednesday, and it's all good from there. 1. There are links to the entire Armed Forces album. Elvis has only performed this song once so there's no live versions to link to.

Yeah, unsurprisingly, nobody's received a second vote. Who knew that the Royal Guardsmen ever sang songs that weren't about Snoopy? Halfway decent, too. I apologize to anybody who's clicked that Fischerspooner vid.

Fischerspooner makes good spectacle. As a band, Fischerspooner's a hell of a spectacle. I liked the Tori Amos and Royal Guardsmen more than I thought I would. And Chet Atkins and Paul y Art almost got me. But, yeah, El Vez it is.
