I love the Simon Pegg "oeuvre". This is a funny satire, with some great performances.

"'WTF?!' What the fuck does that even mean?" Minor spoilers below? * * * Hilarious. The men's room scene where the movie "changes" was dynamite on every level. You have the initial confrontation, which even if you knew that something of of that nature was to happen is surprising, fun and completely believeable; then you have the guys pile in there so pissed off at the Mom thing they barely notice the scene; then comes more physical comedy that's every bit as great as the zombie bar fight in SHAWN: there's a nanosecond when a guy slips on a body part on the floor, and you realize: That's the same spot where the slippery pee on the floor started the whole thing a few minutes before, and it's that much better. I was already hyperventilating at that point. You're right, the acting was great too, and scary that I'm more Pegg than anyone else in that flick. It gets a little outta control by the end but as good as SHAWN probably.

i think the post-apocalyptic ending is a hoot and a half; as if to say we'd just as soon pull this world down around our ears than conform to your middle-class notions of propriety. We have the right to be assholes even if it means the world's end. And they prove this point at every football match over there, so it seems a deeply held cultural value worth commenting on.

Has a lot in common thematically, with Hot Tub Time Machine. The main difference is this movie's version of "Lou" --- Gary --- is the protagonist.
