With the decent overage minors results, and the non-wowing K/BB numbers, he seems like the proverbial "just a guy." But, hey, we could use guys.

I don't know if it's a traditional strategy to try and sneak guys through waivers over the holidays when you think your rivals are too busy trimming trees to pay attention to the waiver wire, but 12/23 was a waiver claim bonanza.

You can't get excited about a waiver claim, but a 3.50 ERA over 65 innings doesn't appear beyond him. Well worth the very low risk.
