You'll shoot your eye out, kid!

What's your favorite line from "A Christmas Story"? And, there's no excuse to not come up with an answer... this thing is on TNT non-stop all night and all day tomorrow. And I've seen it 100 times and it's still fresh and funny and it will be the background soundtrack to our Xmas morning gift opening as it is every year at the Fman household.

It's a small one. When Ralphie has lied and said that Schwartz taught him the word "fudge," his mom calls Mrs. Schwartz. And when she asks Mrs. Schwartz if she knew where Ralphie learned the word, if you listen closely you can hear Mrs. Schwartz ask, "From his father?"

"It's a major award" still tickles. As does the subtler, "Mind power, Swede... mind power!" Also, I've always been partial to the phrase, "Soft glow of electric sex."

I've seen every part of the movie, but I don't know if I've ever watched it all the way through in one sitting. Maybe once. It's a cute movie, but I have no idea why it's so beloved.

I like when Ralphie in the beginning blurts out the request for the Red Ryder at the breakfast table then says "Ohhhhhh."

I'm with Nymr83 on this one. I've seen 10-15 minute segments once or twice over the years. Never really seen more than that.

Remarkably, I am not familiar with this movie at all. I do watch Christmas Vacation every year, watched it yesterday.

given my aunt's husband's obsession with the movie, I've seen a couple of scenes here and there over the last 3 or so years, but not the whole thing through yet. I'll get there one day.
