leaving work shortly to go to a friend's who won the "First one to buy a house this year hosts New Years" contest. It's out on the island though, which means lots of driving. boo driving. probably staying over at parents. Drinking Champagne margaritas and samuel smith chocolate stouts.

Since the Party House next door appears to be dark, I assume we will be ringing in the New Year at home, with some sauerkraut, pork and mashed potatoes. I've been smelling it cook all day and my belly is growling! I have some new Christmas books to read and I'm working on a puzzle. My kind of New Year's Eve, actually!

Palladia's running the Crossroads Guitar festival concerts, extended versions. My wife and her mother are sleeping on the couch, I'm downstairs imbibing and digging some guitar music. At about 11:55 I'm going to wake one of them up for some make out time.

I'm with my nephew and nieces and mom, brother and bro-in-law at the in-laws joint in va. Had a great dinner. Watched TV. Had some beerz. Going to bed.

Stayed home with MMYF. We both fell asleep early, but woke up in time to celebrate the New Year in Chicago. Had champagne and cheesecake. A Happy and Healthy New Year to all! Later

Stayed in. Had some friends over. Tried to sneak into the inauguration a block away. Couldn't.
