From English to Italian to Swahili to Hindi to Tagalog and back to English, via Google Translate.

Original lyrics, of course.

[list]Bishop completed!
Bishop completed!
Step right up and greet the bishop!
Bring your children!
Take your wife!
Make sure that during your life!
Why the Bishops' Ball sockin
Knocking home runs over the wall!
In the former
In the West
Everyone down
And Bishop B-I-S-H-O-P-S meet
New York City!

Oh , the butcher and the baker and the people on the street ,
Where you lost?
Bishop encounter!
Oh , they are the ' hollerin their seats and cheerin' Jumpin're to play ,
Where you lost?
Bishop encounter!
All the fans are true to the orange and blue
So hurry up and come!
Because we have a ball club,
Bishop of New York City!

Give them scream!
Give them a hand!
And let them know you're cheering in the stands!

Come on ...
Bishop completed!
Bishop completed!
Step right up and greet the bishop!
Bring your children!
Take your wife!
Make sure that during your life!
Why the Bishops' Ball sockin
Knocking home runs over the wall!
In the former
In the West
Everyone down
And Bishop B-I-S-H-O-P-S meet
New York City!

Bishop encounter!

I'm curious... were you able to detect how "Mets" became "Bishops"?

Re: Around the World with "Meet the Mets"

That was largely triggered by me, it seems. I used the original lyrics, but I imput "Metropolitans," for Mets, to give the translating gnomes a fighting chance to approximate a foreign equivelant (I also spelled out abbreviations like "'cause" and "sockin'*." Probably in the Philippines, "Metropolitans" came to be understood as "Bishops."

I imagine I failed to fix "jumpin'" and that's why we have the nonsense "jumpin're" there.
