When can Seo do? Tough to schedule for everyone but it's best if everyone's there. I probably should send an email since there are..2? people that aren't here. I don't know that doing it that last week is the best time, You'd like to have a couple of days for trades and waiver claims to round out the team, but whatever works.

Seo: is an internet cafe a possibility? I think the time difference would translate to being something like 2:00 in the morning in Europe, so I don't know if places are open that late. Otherwise, Seo can assign a trusted vice-GM to draft for him here in the states or he can pick over the waiver-wire. None of these are ideal...but, Europe, baby!

as my other league reminds me, Dodgers D-Backs in Australia 3/22 starts the season. It's just two games but let's stick to drafting before that. Gonna say 3/19 at 8:30 EST and let's try to make this work.

I paid the $10 and put the draft date on my calendar. Looks like it will be 2:30am on a beautiful Parisian Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Will try my best, but um, pas de promesses. What does happen if I can't be on for the draft (besides ending up with a shitty team)? Can I set up exclusions, max bids, stuff like that? I don't really see anything like in the draft center page.

if you don't show up for the draft, there is no autodraft. you fill your team from the waiver wire.

After the draft you can submit bids for anyone not signed and then he goes on two day waivers and goes to the person with the highest bid. Your best bet is probably to find someone to draft for you.

There seems to be some messages on the Ottoneu board from some non-CPFers who are looking to move the draft date from the 19th to the 20th. I'm OK with this, but don't know how it effects other folks.

why can't I see history of a team? bleh, I should but @ottoneu about that to see team name history and owner history. would help. Mohawk can't do the 20th. I don't really want to move it if this is a stranger (aside: did ABNS find someone to draft for him or should we put out the word and get someone to do that?) I see no objection in this thread to the 18th, so perhaps we could go a day earlier if we need to.

so, my new strategy will be to abandon my team, have someone come in and cut all my players, reclaim my team, and have all my old players reinstated at 50 cents on the dollar. note, for instance, alex gordon had been salaried at $32. he was cut by cherington's puppet, reducing his salary to $16, and was reinstated at $16. his salary should be reinstated at $32, as well as for all the other players cut by cherington. this may be something you're already aware of and working on.

I struck out trying to get a proxy to draft for me. I've been woefully sleepless the last couple of weeks so I'm thinking I could do it, if there's a computer at my apartment. The phone would be a huge pain in the ass. If anyone knows a nerd who just lives drafting, though, I wouldn't mind having a backup option.

Stupid interface not only gave me the wrong guy when I searched by name but after I began auction it tells me: Current Auctions Click 'Edit' and change your bid $0 in order to delete a bid but there's no "edit" button to be found and changing a bid to "0" doesn't appear to take him off the block. Let it be known that the current auction for Brett Zawacki is not cromulent and should be canceled unless or until he changes his name to Kevin Plawecki, at which point I'd like to bid $1

My offense seems to be comin on of late. I'm not sure how much higher there is time for me to climb but here's hoping...! I'm worried a bit about losing the strikeout lead. I don't have many innings left...

whew! for a good long time there, i was worried that the difference between first and second place was going to come down to one player. steve fucking pearce. ho played like a house on fire until i picked him up mid-season, then promptly slumped for a good long month, looking like the scrub he'd ever been. then i drop him to make room for an up and coming shortstop, or maybe jake lamb, i forget, and suddenly he's on fire again. dick! i'm glad hte giants made the playoffs and held off pitching bumgarner last night, or i'd surely have lost hte strikeout title to muddy chickens. thanks, everybody, for a great season! are we still going to be needing a new player for next year, to assume control of the corndogs? i might know a guy who'd be interested.

Congrats. I imagine Jordan's no-hitter helped. Yeah, looks like we need at least one player. Dunno if anyone is interested internally.

Dunno if anyone is interested internally. actually, it didn't. i'd maxed out my innings, on friday, i think. i had three starters projected for friday, and started them all in the hopes that i didn't hit the 1500 inning cap before the last one (wacha) started his game. if i'd've paid a little more attention, i might've been able to hold off until yesterday, when i also had 3 starters projected, but i didn't want to run the risk of having starters not start due to playoff rest, or other last game of the season silliness. as it stands, i only just barely snuck wacha's innings in in time.

don't forget! arbitration season opens today! (be gentle!) should we look into getting a replacement for the cornballers? if so, should we have it in place before we conclude arbitration? i may have a friend who would be interested.
