It was also home to a few Negro League teams Which means there's a good chance that Aaron played there (Hank, not Heilman). He played at least one year with the Negro league Indianapolis Clowns.

I'd have lived in a retrofitted Shea Stadium. Felt like I lived there when it was Shea Stadium.

I always thought that would have worked. And yeah, had they done it with Shea, they could have set prices crazy high.

Been there, done that, with the Polo Grounds. There's a plaque in the housing complex that pays tribute to the old ball park that once stood on Coogan's Bluff. That was our history. Later
