How cool is this? , instead of letting it be an eyesore or whatever they repurposed the old minor league stadium as lofts.

BUSH STADIUM - INDIANAPOLIS, IN

Owen J. "Donie" Bush Stadium is the name of a stadium formerly used by minor league baseball team Indianapolis Indians in Indianapolis, Indiana. Its street address is 1501 West 16th Street. It was home to the Indianapolis Indians, who have operated at the highest level of minor league ball for many decades, in three different leagues: American Association, Pacific Coast League and International League. It was also home to a few Negro League teams, as well as a Continental Football League team, the Indianapolis Capitols, who won the league championship in 1969.

Which means there's a good chance that Aaron played there (Hank, not Heilman). He played at least one year with the Negro league Indianapolis Clowns.

I'd have lived in a retrofitted Shea Stadium. Felt like I lived there when it was Shea Stadium.

I always thought that would have worked.

And yeah, had they done it with Shea, they could have set prices crazy high.

Ushers would've come down to your living room and forced you to go upstairs. But woulda been cool regardless.

Been there, done that, with the Polo Grounds. There's a plaque in the housing complex that pays tribute to the old ball park that once stood on Coogan's Bluff.
That was our history.

The Polo Grounds would have made an interesting apartment complex.

Spruce this up, and it already looks a bit like urban rowhouses:

And how cool would it be to have these windows in your living room?
