The first round of players banished to minor league camps came yesterday. Not that some of them still can't appear in ST games. Erik Goeddel Steven Matz Josh Edgin Wilfredo Tovar Cesar Puello Logan Verrett Adam Kolarek Jack Leathersich John Church Chasen Bradford Dustin Lawley Brandon Nimmo Cory Vaughn Danny Muno Kevin Plawecki Edgin this early seems like the only real surprise.

I might have thought that Tovar would stick around a little longer too, since shortstop is pretty unsettled, but I suppose that if they need him he won't be far away.

I'd have to look up the rules again. I think minor leaguers can appear in games willy nilly but guys on the 40 man option to the minors can't?

I thought Allen went down weeks ago, but I guess the injuries to Davis and Duda stayed the cut-man's hand. Checking the sheet here, he sure got plenty of chances: 4-23 with one walk and no extra-base hits. That's not gonna do it.

Damn. I figured with Muffy's injury and uncertainty elsewhere Flores would stick around till the bitter end. STILL predicting a Blockbuster!
