Who are they going to cast as Josh Thole? Has to be an actor who can crouch, then jump up and chase a ball to the backstop. Repeatedly.

Rin Tin Tin would be more macho, but Lassie works.
It was an ok book, not sure it's movie worthy though.

Here's a good question --- is Dickey done?

Like Go to Hell, Mike Piazza, this could be one of those sports-themed movies that gets scrapped during development due to the subject's rapid decline.
