Pro Football Hall of Fame Finalists

The 15 finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame were announced today. According to ESPN.com, here is how one gains enshrinement:
]A 39-member panel will vote on the finalists. A candidate must get 80 percent of the vote to be elected with a minimum of three and a maximum of six getting in. If fewer than three get 80 percent, the candidate with the next highest percentage will be elected.

Here are the finalists:
Troy Aikman
Harry Carson
L.C. Greenwood
Russ Grimm
Claude Humphrey
Michael Irvin
Bob Kuechenberg
John Madden
Art Monk
Warren Moon
Derrick Thomas
Thurman Thomas
Reggie White
Rayfield Wright
Gary Zimmerman

Since it's a minimum of 3 and a max of six, I would rank my top six as: White, Aikman, T. Thomas, Irvin, D. Thomas, Monk.

As to who will get in, I think White and Aikman are locks, and I think Thurman has a great chance.

And another year of disappointment for Harry Carson.

My ballot is for Bruce Sutter, and no one else.

(It worked for baseball, let's see if it works for the NFL.)

I kinda want Carson not to get in, just so we can hear him complain again.

That's how I used to feel about Phil Rizzuto every year.

Yes, didn't he complain so much last year that he asked not to be put on the ballot again?

Anybody but Reggie White - PLEASE.

Of course, he'll probably get in, with the higherst vote totals. (Do they announce the vote totals in this one?)

Of course he'll get in, but he was a prick, he just about insulted avery race at one time or another.

I don't think they announce the details at all; they just announce who's in.

My feelings for him have nothing to do with those comments he made.
They have to do with when he was a free agent and held a press conference to announce he was going to sign with the Jets. They put aside a large amount of money for him, and could not pursue other needed free agents. After a several week delay, he signed with the Packers. By that time, all the other free agents who could have helped the Jets had signed with other clubs.

Too many Cowboys on that list. Danny White is one my most-hated players of all time.

Do you know what they call a drug ring in Dallas?
A huddle.

When you have four Cowboys in a van, who's driving?
A Policeman.

Why couldn't Michael Irvin join the huddle before each play?
His parole officer didn't allow him to associate with known felons.

What happened when Barry Switzer became coach of the Cowboys?
The entire team went on academic probation.

Any others?
