Simmons scratched for Braves with jammed hand, maybe from that spill the other night. Other than the fact that Heyward (last night) and Freeman (practically always) are whalloping the ball I think we're catching the Braves (as we did the Reds) at a good time to take 2 of 3. A good long or bad long plane trip depends on it.

Granderson now has both the worst AB and worst defensive play of the game. That K w/1st + 3rd no one out was lame.

I don't want to say that this game is moving slowly or anything, but they're a full inning behind a Yanx/Sawx game which started at the same tine.

Not a great game for Mejia, but he's shown some heart hanging in there. d'Arnaud's hit the ball hard more often than that. I'm not tossing him back.

Wow, turned out to be a good game. What Torres did was huge. Add Farny and V and we got some much needed relief tonight. Young and Murph at the top of the lineup is nasty good when it works. Which is,..what? This one time? We need Young to continue this in Anaheim (watch, he don't start). And he hit tonight. But I don't care how he reaches. Just reach. Very good game.
