Yeah, I said it! The Mets prepare to use their newfound military might against the Cardinals yet again!

No military tonight, just 0.

Young, Jr – 7
Granderson – 9
Wright – 5
Murphy – 4
Young – 8
Duda – 3
d’Arnaud – 2
Quintanilla – 6
Gee – 1

Off to Citi. Hope this is better than the last time I saw Wainwright in Flushing. (I may be lying, I might have seen him pitch since 2006 and don't remember)

Re: IGT 4/22/14 - Ready to Bury Red Birds on Earth Day!

Not altogether terrible-- if somewhat belated-- damage control by Mr. Gee.

A play like Jon Jay made on d'Arnaud to prevent the DP on the 5-2 putout-- blind side play made with intent of taking catcher out-- kinda makes me wish there was something like a yellow card in baseball.

Christ , Granderson looks awful , lost and dejected......just like most of the fans

Re: IGT 4/22/14 - Ready to Bury Red Birds on Earth Day!

Taking out the guy turning the DP is part of the game. They can outlaw it, but until they do, most other players would have done the same, and some would have come in higher.

Striking out Grandy was like taking the baby's candy there.

And now, after Mets bats are disposed with in about 90 seconds, Gee gets to go right back out there.

EYJ continues to make plays more often than not, even on the ones where he looks bad.

I had no problem with Jay's slide.

Really, though, virtually all major leaguers make plays more often than not, strictly speaking.

Big-boy chance for d'Arnaud squandered right there.

A hell of a grab by Holliday. The booth seemed sure it was a rob job, but to me it looked a little short.

They were good. But nothing particularly special imo. Bread to meatball ratio was a little high. tons of garlic. (I like garlic, but I don't usually say "woah, this has a lot of garlic")

But I'm a harsh judger of italian food that's not from my own kitchen.

I probably won't get these again.

Blowing through clumps of the game on replay. Just saw the Cards 2 run inning.

Yea, that slide was okay, really good actually, but with this new rule I would have made a scene if I was Collins. Just to kick up some dirt around the team.

I didn't get the camera (phone) up quick enough to focus.

Did get Eric Young's catch a littler clearer, although no zoom on the phone.
