Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, turn.

Colon VS. Gio Gonzo. Mets need a win.

Zvon May 17 2014 02:11 PM Re: I.G.T 5/17 Mets at Nats |
Muffy with a solid single. Wright with a dribbler single (he's been getting many breaks with the cheap hits-gotta give him that). CYoung walks. 1 out.

CAMPBELL DRIVES IN TWO!!! He ripped that single.

Lagares a line single to right plates another.

Zvon May 17 2014 02:32 PM Re: I.G.T 5/17 Mets at Nats |
Colon with a good 1-2-3 1st inning.
|
Zvon May 17 2014 02:56 PM Re: I.G.T 5/17 Mets at Nats |
Lagares: TWO RUN KABOOMER!!!!!!!!!!
|
Zvon May 17 2014 03:56 PM Re: I.G.T 5/17 Mets at Nats |
WOW. Lagares robs Werth of a sure homer in dead center. Glove two feet over the wall. Amazin'.

Thats it for me. If Lagares isn't in center every day I want Shorty's head on a long stick.

They showed about 15 replays of that catch in the last ten minutes, and I could watch a few hundred more.
|
Zvon May 17 2014 04:08 PM Re: I.G.T 5/17 Mets at Nats |
As soon as I see a pic I'll post it. Just an amazin' catch. Straight away-he cruised back, smooooth, smoother than Beltran.

Good job Mejia.
|
Edgy MD May 17 2014 04:59 PM Re: I.G.T 5/17 Mets at Nats |
Keith is right. The catch itself wasn't the half of it. The fact that it was dead center (how often do you see pullback at 400 feet?), and the fact that the guy usually positions himself shallow really tell the whole story.

Yup!

Edgy MD May 17 2014 05:10 PM Re: I.G.T 5/17 Mets at Nats |
This Seth Everett guy is pretty much on point with what the story is but his delivery is sort of messy.

Quality sucks, but better than nothing.

It seems we're getting back to that strange pattern where they find their footing on the road, get some momentum going, arrive home, and lay an egg.

Needs to work on his demonstrative finishing move. That point-wave-slap thing he did with his hand today was totally lame. Plus he took off his hat too long after.
|
LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr May 18 2014 07:44 AM Re: I.G.T 5/17 Mets at Nats |
Maybe a hat-off, shampoo-commercial hair-wave as the Mejia finisher? Or maybe it's a happy glove-spike.
|
Frayed Knot May 18 2014 08:29 AM Re: I.G.T 5/17 Mets at Nats |
Maybe he took some (internal) heat for his moon-walking act after the strikeout of Gardner last week then, following his save, got caught between wanting to celebrate and being conscious of trying to tone it down.
