Didn't realize this was a gay dame!

Chris Young escapes the bench, but not den Dekker.

If Centeno is in the lineup, it suggests d'Arnaud won't be active for the game in any capacity.

He won't be.

Edgy MD May 28 2014 11:32 AM Re: IGT 05/28 - Buccos at Metsies |
Mets get two ducks on in the first, but Chris Young whiffs.
|
Edgy MD May 28 2014 11:46 AM Re: IGT 05/28 - Buccos at Metsies |
Maybe it's some sort of master class in stranding dudes, and Chris Young is visiting professor.

Doodoo walks and scores thanks to a wild pitch, a groundout, and a wild pitch

Edgy MD May 28 2014 11:52 AM Re: IGT 05/28 - Buccos at Metsies |
My kind of rally. One that involves almost no bat-to-ball contact.

McCutcheon flies to deep RF in the 2nd but, as Hawk Harrelson would describe it on a ChiSox broadcast, 'We got a man there'

John Cougar Lunchbucket May 28 2014 12:02 PM Re: IGT 05/28 - Buccos at Metsies |
Muffy with a Little League triple (reaches 1st on throwing error, and 3rd on a different throwing error).

Zvon May 28 2014 12:06 PM Re: IGT 05/28 - Buccos at Metsies |
Wow, looks like he missed second, but ump says he got it. Replay made it look like he stepped on the 2nd basemans glove.

K2K for Bartolo - and Ike is the victim.

Wright's HR makes Laggy's ill-advised steal attempt of 3rd for the 3rd out the previous inning even more inexcusable.

John Cougar Lunchbucket May 28 2014 01:12 PM Re: IGT 05/28 - Buccos at Metsies |
Looks like we got thrown out at 3rd again.

FIRE THE RUNNING COACH!
|
Benjamin Grimm May 28 2014 01:12 PM Re: IGT 05/28 - Buccos at Metsies |
They should totally fire the second-base coach.
|
Frayed Knot May 28 2014 01:16 PM Re: IGT 05/28 - Buccos at Metsies |
Pitt pitchers retired TWO Met batters in a seven batter sequence and we managed just one run out of it and wound up with only two LOBs
|
Benjamin Grimm May 28 2014 01:18 PM Re: IGT 05/28 - Buccos at Metsies |
Outs on the basepaths provide players with a much-needed chance to catch their breath before they take the field again in the next half inning.

Plus there's all that energy you save by running only to 3rd instead of all the way home. Not sure why they didn't think of this earlier.

Familia ends the 8th on a 1-pitch DP. sweet.

Colon's done after throwing a fat amount of pitches. GJ Bartolo.

Frayed Knot May 28 2014 01:49 PM Re: IGT 05/28 - Buccos at Metsies |
Terry had himself an interesting choice there and wound up opting for Familia vs Ike as opposed to Edgin vs Gaby Sanchez (who almost certainly would have PH'd for Ike)

Every once in a while they've got free wise chip bags at the exit from the subway headed towards the rotunda. good fun.

NYM pitchers forced to get 30 outs today - and most of those extra outs are on Doo-doo even tough I don't think he's been charged with an actual error.

John Cougar Lunchbucket May 28 2014 02:34 PM Re: IGT 05/28 - Buccos at Metsies |
Howie said last nite that Terry said that he wouldn't hesitate using Soupman at 2B or SS. But I think if Tejada were out for awhile they'd summon Tovar.

From what I've seen of him at first so far, IMO, no. Looks like an even switch to me. Of course, if Campbell plays there more, he might get better. Duda just had an off day on the hops.

Edgy MD May 28 2014 02:41 PM Re: IGT 05/28 - Buccos at Metsies |
Las Vegas closes out a 13-7 win over El Paso. Nieuwenhuis, clearly pissed that den Dekker got a callup over him, slugs a single, double, and two homers, driving in four. One-man-wrecking-crew-type stuff from Kirk.
