I was busy this weekend and didn't get to really watch any baseball. I'm just gonna pretend it all didn't happen and that tomorrow is where the Mets shake off this 'can't win at home' story line with a 6-game sweep.

I left town Tuesday morning and returned late yesterday. Did I miss something?

Here's how you can get back on track. Go into to your garage, pick up a hammer, and hit yourself over the head with it six times. Then you'll know what you missed.

How about having a step break underneath you while walking into the basement and later forgetting said step is missing and tripping down the steps? does that work?

One of my first waking thoughts this morning was I
needed to start a NGT. I need therapy.

Only if you trip down that same step six times.

Too late, I fixed it.

Hopefully the Mets did too.

Just for fun I was googling what I guess might be the closest/only bar nearby Citi Field (La Picardia Poblana)

and found this enlightening facebook review:

Nasty place ,and a dude has a mini deli in the restroom

Murph was at the White House today in re: Paternity Leave stuff. (yes please..)

Also his teammates were annoyed with him because he forgot

A tradition that has been used in locker rooms across the country for years, anytime a player becomes a new father, they are to supply their teammates with cigars to ‘celebrate’

I like the socks/three-piece, but the posture is distinctly Florida-panhandle.

Your best maybe is just knocking on Mrs. Murphy's door and asking nicely, I would think, but good luck after that.

That would be kinda awesome actually. Mets-baby handmedowns? Anyone got Murphy's address? Should I just send a SASE to him care of Citi Field asking for his babies blanket?

Why don't you ask for his wife's underwear while you're at it? If you're going to be creepy, there's no point in holding back.

Daniel Murphy's leading the NL in singles. Juan Lagares is 8th in the NL in total WAR -- second in defensive WAR.
