I voted for Jetfire, although Optimus Prime is the Transformer who should be on the list.

The original 12-inch GI Joe all the way. Without him, the others wouldn't exist.

There are some pretty crappy action figures on there! Where's Big Jim and his sports camper? Major Matt Mason? The sweet Kiss action figures?

Obviously on GI Joe, but if they're taking the top ten, I figured I'd put my vote in for one of the underdogs.

I could see that this thread, more than anything else, is gonna mostly confirm the age of anyone who posts an opinion. I have no idea what action figures seawolf is talking about. I had a very brief GI Joe phase, but once I discovered Strat-O-Matic, that was it for action figures -- and probably most every other game.

I had the Boba Fett action figure. I think it was fairly rare.

It was the jewel of my toy collection.

When I was a kid I asked for GI Joe every Christmas, but Santa always ignored that request. I imagine my requests weren't all that fervent; if I had made it clear that I really wanted one, I probably would have gotten it.

But during my childhood, "action figures" weren't really a thing. I never had one, and other then a few GI Joes here and there, neither did my friends. I only really became familiar with the phenomenon when I had a son of my own. He had all kinds of action figures (usually, but not always, Marvel and DC superheroes) when he was younger.

Wow! Action Jackson is on the list. I never owned AJ, or even wanted an AJ ( I wasn't really into action figures at all. I had some GI Joe stuff only because most of the other kids on the block also had GI Joes.) But I can still remember, word-for-word, the AJ theme song from TV commercials, even though I probably haven't heard the theme in over 40 years.
