"At least the Astros know how to rebuild..."

Current organization-wide minor league standings below. Numbers could be off a tick or two, as I began counting yesterday
afternoon, and finished late yesterday evening, after many game results would have been filed, but it sez what it sez.

And, since the system seemingly couldn't accept all that ezcoding in one post, here's the bottom 10.

Great work. Should I go blabbing about this?

I also like that the Yankees, Braves, Dodgers, & Phillies are ranked real low.

Re: "At least the Astros know how to rebuild..."

btw, on the Astros rebuilding program:

Carlos Correa (2012 Number 1/1 pick) - recovering from a broken leg

Mark Appel - (2013 # 1/1). Looking for all the world like there's little chance of him living up to the 1/1 pick..
From a BA Q&A: ... [have talked now to] six pro scouts who have seen him. Best report I’ve gotten from any of them is that he’s a backend of the rotation starter–maybe a good innings eating No. 4 starter. ... he’s now over a year into his pro career. At this point, there’s a lot of experienced pro scouts who have seen him and think there’s a lot of reasons to be concerned. The best hope is that what we’ve seen from Appel so far is not an indication of what his stuff and command will be long-term.

Brady Aiken (2014 #1/1) - HS LHP. Remains unsigned at this point, at least in part because there's already talk about elbow problems.

Not that any of these problems are, by themselves, critical. Correa was playing well prior to the injury and his leg is expected to recover completely; Appel could still contribute or surprise (although they'll almost certainly rue those they didn't draft instead), and of course the jury is still out on Aiken. They've hit big, it seems, on 2011 #11 overall George Springer (19 HRs in his first <300 ML ABs) and could actually climb out of last place with a win tonight. But, yeah, it's way too premature to declare their turnaround a success.

Preferably when drunk.

I like that there's only one other team in their orbit.

Re: "At least the Astros know how to rebuild..."

Looking just a full-season teams:

Top Squad: Savannah Sand Gnatss (BOS), 59-27, .686
Wantingest Squad: Rome Braves (ATL), 29-62, .319

Top Mets-Affiliated Squad: Savannah Sand Gnats, 59-27, .686
Wantingest Mets-Affiliated Squad: Las Vegas 51s, 54-39, .581

An interesting thing is that things get better with the Mets as you go deeper --- until you get to the short season leagues, anyway.

New York Mets: .462 winning percentage.
Las Vegas 51s: .581 winning percentage.
Binghamton Mets: .584 winning percentage.
St. Lucie Mets: .612 winning percentage.
Savannah Sand Gnats: .686 winning percentage.
Brooklyn Cyclones: .560 winning percentage.
Kingsport Mets: .450 winning percentage.
=#4000FF]Gulf Coast Mets: .600 winning percentage.

It's cool, though I'd like to turn that on it's ear and give the .462 to Savannah and the .686 to the big club.
