The Poles are more powerful than I thought.

Haven't gotten a Farmer's Almanac yet, so I'm
reserving judgement.

excited. I cut my bushes that overhang the steps so I might even shovel them!

I should probably look into some dyi patch for the crumbly ends of my driveway though. And get a car that doesn't need 10 minutes to warm up before it'll shift from reverse to drive.

Wow, Ceeter should have KC's Polar connection fix his car.

I don't mind if it's a bad winter, but I have some baby trees here that I don't want to lose.

Fuck it - bring it on. Nothing will get D-Dad to agree to move back to the City faster than a bad winter where he and I are the only ones around to shovel.

A cool August at that... It's been an easy summer here. The grass is still green which is unusual..

I figure I have a 'bitch about the heat' quota to maintain to balance against the inbalance of people bitching about the cold.

Pumpkin and Oktoberfest beers are out. it's fall, clearly. Winter right 'round the corner.

Personally I'm first going to see if we can survive what is seemingly at least the 15th consecutive prediction of 'Worst Hurricane Season Ever' and THEN I'll worry about the deadliest, super-est winter ever.

P.S. Your plants don't have any idea what the weather is going to be like 5 months from now, and the patterns of leaves changing / falling / then renewal are mostly triggered by the shrinking/growing hours of daylight rather than by air temperatures present or future.
