I just got a pop up ad for the mattress company, and wondered if they were ever teammates. If not, they couldna missed by much. Actually that's not a bad nickname for those bad Mets teams of the late 70s, early 80s, "The Slumber Company."

Answers own question: Yes, from 1982-84, three seasons Stearns spent mostly on the DL.
