Bring your kiddies, bring your wife ... and a baseball glove ... because according to Time Magazine and idleseat, Citi Field's section 110 might be the likeliest place for a baseball fan to catch a foul ball.

I have a friend, Chris P. (always called Chrispy), a big Met fan who along with me was pissed off over the strike in the early 90s and no World Series. He swore off big league games & teams. I did too but he was more serious than I. I wouldn't initiate trips to the ballpark but I'd go from time to time. I don't think he's been to a big league game since.

There was a local minor league team here in AC, the Surf. This guy got his baseball fix there, and he lived real close to the stadium so he went to lots and lots of games. I attended a few games with him.

I remember one, the place was almost empty and I was talking about how I almost, but never, got a foul ball. And he says,"Oh you want a foul ball? I go to all the games. If you want a foul ball you have to stand over here....". And he walks up around ten rows and to the right of where we were, says," You gotta stand right about here." And as he says it, the guy at the plate hits a foul ball that flies above & past us, hits the cement facing of the second level stands, and ricochets right to Chrispy, who catches it and looks at me like it was the most natural thing to ever happen. We cracked up for a good 3 minutes over that.

I'm excited by that field layout that allows for 175-foot homers down the right field line.

What architectural conundrum led to the jagged teeth that are sections 108 and 127?

Strange that of the four venues they chose, the field/
seats layout is not accurate in three of them.
