With what has happened recently, it's easy to forget how colossally bad the contract for Gary Matthews Jr. was. Off the top of my head: Matthews Vaughn Pujols Hamilton Wilson Brian Fuentes The Vaughn deal looks like a steal compared to some of the others. I'm sure there are some stretching back that I can't think of. Not ten. Anybody who wants to add a few more on to complete this top ten feel free.

It hits home, but they got one great year and a whole lot of junk out of Bartolo Colon. That's got to be on the list somewhere. Giving two years to Steve Finley at 40 years old, that was a head-scratcher.
