Re: Tattoo You: The Baseball Version

I have little patience with tattoos of any kind. I would never do something to my body that I couldn't undo (or at least couldn't undo without long, painful, expensive cosmetic procedures not guaranteed to work). These are people who'll be laughed at for the rest of their lives. And I imagine the second guy will get more than his share of beatings along the way should he stray into the 215 area code.

Re: Tattoo You: The Baseball Version

Not a fan of tats, but if I was, baseball (or more correctly, the Mets) would be one of the things I feel strongly enough to commit body ink to. But it would have to be a timeless design of some kind (the Mets logo would suffice). Not stupid like the phanatic one. The guy put the phanatic on his body---for life. Ha! Crazy stupid mo-fo.
The stadium one is kinda kool, if your into tats and have no hair (and a huge cranium), I guess.

The Phanatic is alright by me.

In fact, I like him double knowing now as I do that the same guy who designed him used up all his talent and went on to sell the misfit Dandy to the Yankees.

Interesting that the Dodger Stadium tat shows the place empty. It must be based on a photo taken in the seventh inning. WHOAH!

I wouldn't hire him if it was my warehouse.

A prior version of this theme (unfortunately, the image embedding doesn't survive the archiving): http://archives.cranepoolforum.net/1050 ... 0588.shtml

Dunno if the image is reversed, or the tattoos appear as shown, so that the tattee could read them when looking at a mirror.

Saw some guy on the news the other day with his bald dome adorned to be a replica of Tom Brady's football helmet. The team emblem was where it was supposed to be, the logos in the right place, the number, etc. (didn't check to see if it had the green sticker to designate that Brady is one of the two on-field guys allowed to have a radio receiver in his helmet).

What a fuckin' dope!

I think that's the back of his thigh.

Why am I not surprised that helmet heads photo is from his most recent arrest.

I once considered a Mr. Met or a Mets logo but I chickened out.

Bad tat. Everyone knows Mr. Met would use one of those hot dog-tossing guns!

Re: Tattoo You: The Baseball Version

So do you suppose that Kelvin Herrera reliever on the Royals--with the very prominent HERRERA inked over his forearm in what looks like maybe six inch high, multi-colored letters--uses his tat as legal identification whenever he forgets his wallet?

Welcome new guy!

I am not inked in any way, however, I'd give strong consideration to something Mets-centric were i ever to go in that direction.

Re: Tattoo You: The Baseball Version

instead of a tribal tattoo, you could get the blue and orange tiles around your biceps.

or, if you really wanted to piss people off, you could get an orange dot tatted to the top of your dome.

Re: Tattoo You: The Baseball Version

The #1 fan obviously doesn't have access to a #1 tattoo parlor. Getting inked by a drunken trucker is almost always a bad idea.

Don't be like that guy.

Hi, I'm a Mets fan. I like to imagine myself as being represented by rape-debicting body art. I identify with rapists, you see. Rapists and the Mets. Go me!

Definitely don't be like that guy

Manlove is so much sweeter when you give yourself willingly. Like thusly...

But what? You run out of money before doing the feet? They may be screened in your source photo, but put on some cleats and model for the poor tatt artist.

So, yeah, don't be like that guy. Listen if you gots to get a Mets taft, don't do something cheap or psychopathically violent, or cliched as all git. Be you. Be unique. Go off book a little bit. Me, I'm going to get a big fucking heroic TOM HAUSMAN across my abdomen. That's just so out there that nobody would thin...

SHIT!!!
