In our last round, 'She's the One' hammered 'I'm One' 8-3 and 'The One I Love' edged 'Still the One' 9-6.

This is a re-match of battle #6 way back when both songs were undefeated. So as not to influence the voting, I won;t remind you of the score or the winner.

I'll just say that She's the One is 4-1 after 5 matchups and 'The One I Love' is now 3-1 after 4 matchups.

Winner of this contest will advance to face either U2 or Bob Marley. Please vote and help this stupid tournament play itself out.

It will be interesting to see how similar the vote parallels that of the first matchup between these two songs.

I abstain from voting.
I never particularly liked either song or artist.

With her kil-ler graces and her se-cret places
That no boy can fill
With her hands on her hips, oh and that smile on her lips
Because she knows that it kills me
With her soft french cream, standing in that door-way like a dream
I wish she'd just leave me alone
Because french cream won't sof-ten them boots, and french kis-ses
Will not break that heart of stone
With her long hair falling and her eyes that shine
Like a midnight sun

Oh-o she's the one
She's the one

That thun-der in your heart, at night when you're kneel-ing in the dark
It says you're ne-ver gonna leave her
But there's this an-gel in her eyes, that tells such des-p'rate lies
And all you want to do is believe her
And to-night you'll try just one more time to leave it all
Be-hind and to break on through
Oh she can take you, but if she wants to break you
She's gonna find out that ain't so ea-sy to do

And no mat-ter where you sleep ton-ight or how
Far you run

Oh-o she's the one
She's the one

Oh-o and just one kiss
She'd fill them long summer nights
With her ten-der-ness
That secret pact you made
Back when her love could save you
From the bit-ter-ness!

Oh! She's the one!
Oh! She's the one!
Oh! She's the one!
Oh! She's the one!

This is a final, 9-7 in favor of REM.

'She's the One' finishes 3-2, 4th place overall, with both losses coming at the hands of Michael Stipe's antilove screed. Bruce did better this time than in the 1st matchup, which he lost 7-3.

There are only three remaining competitors. Marley will take on U2 to decide the last of the undefeateds, with the loser taking on REM. That winner will then have to beat the U2-Marley winner twice to win the championship.
