Holy freaking crap. EIGHTY-ONE POINTS. Two thirds of his team's offense. How insane is this????

And, while I made of point of saying that Larry Brown impresses me more than Phil Jackson or Pat Riley, I'm impressed that the Lakers can win with Bryant scoring 11 and with Bryant scoring 81. I've been bored with the NBA for a while, but it's fun to see offenses opening up around the league. The league --- and other sports leagues, really --- is funnest when different teams play different brands of the game.

He was able to concentrate in basketball because his uni shorts probably don't have a zipper. After he was caught brandishing his magic Johnson, is this is a guy the NBA wants to market? Would you? Later

The Lakers are also able to lose when he scores in the sixties. I guess this deserved it's own thread. It was mentioned in the Knicks thread. I think I'm officially a threadcop. I'm filled with self-loathing right now.

Defense held sway in the NBA from the championship Pistons era through the era of the Jordan Bulls and past the turn of the century. I'm fine with some teams trading D for O.

It was mentioned in the NFL thread too. Congratulations to Kobe on a great game. And I still think he was unjustly accused.

Well I suppose so. But I'm just thinking--if I were a woman, and I went with a guy to his hotel room late at night, I'll bet I would be expecting more than to use his powder room.
