I only got six right...

]Mozart birthday quiz
You scored 6 out of a possible 20
You, unlike Tamino, were perhaps slightly unready for the rites of initiation. Practise, practise, practise and better luck next time.

I got 7, but my heart wasn't in it when I got to Knockwurst and Alcoholics
Anonymous as possible answers.

13 for 20.

So three years ago Ms. Tiger and I visited the Mozart House in Salzburg - a very good museum in the house Mozart grew up in. They have those audio wands in different languages to listen to throughout the exhibits. For the finale there was kind of a cheesy multimedia slide show. The narration ended with "Was Mozart happy? .... His music certainly makes us happy!" We both burst out laughing. We wonder is there was something lost in the translation into English because none of the German-speaking people thought it was funny.

Anyhow, happy B-day Mozart. I hope you're happy.

Ahem:

In which year did Mozart die?

soupcan: Hmmm, well metirish said he'd be 250 years old so the answer is 1756

Correct answer: 1791

You answered incorrectly

2006 minus 1791 = 215 Mr. irish.

On edit: Heh-heh, oops, sorry.

Mozart was born in 1756 and died 35 years later in 1791, so it's only 215 years since his deathday.

13/20 -- what's worse is that rather than any of his pieces, the tune that's now stuck in my head is "Rock me Amadeus"

I got a pathetic 5 of 20 correct. Obviously, not an authority on classical music.
