This sounds like a variation of a Carnac post. Haven't seen him around much lately.

The infrequent appearances of Carnac act to make his posts more special. It is a great bit and I wish I had thought of it. I believe the poster that uses the Carnac handle knows that over doing it would tend to lesson the effectiveness of his appearances. Carnac's posts are generally a treat worth waiting for.

Harris Signed by Seahawks; Will Replace Warner

Franco Harris, a key player in the Pittsburgh Steelers' glory years, agreed to a one-year contract with Seattle today and will replace Curt Warner, the Seahawks' injured running back. The 34-year-old Harris is only 363 yards away from Jim Brown's National Football League career rushing record of 12,312 yards. ''Franco didn't come cheap,'' admitted Mike McCormack, the Seahawk president and general manager. He said the contract would be signed Thursday. No terms were announced, but there was speculation it was in the $500,000 to $600,000 range, including bonuses and incentives.

ps. who remembers Curt Warner (from Penn State)?

Usually I have no interest but I want the Steelers to win this game.

* Better unis.

* Better tradition

* More cartoony coach chin

* More trick plays

I think he's safe. One post since we got to the new CPF probably won't oversaturate the forum.

I don't "remember" Curt Warner, but he was on WFAN last week talking with Joe Beningo. I turned it on in the middle of the interview, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out what the hell Kurt Warner knew about the 1980s Seahawks. Finally, Beningo explained who he was again and it made sense.

Bill Cowher does not talk like Chris Berman. Thank the fricking lord.
