The Greenwood Encyclopedia of American Poets and Poetry [Five Volumes] is now out. I just got my contributor's copy in the mail yesterday. I wrote about 20 of the entries for it...more than any other scholar represented.

]The most comprehensive reference on American poetry ever assembled, this enormous encyclopedia includes more than 900 alphabetically arranged entries by roughly 350 scholars

Looking over some of my stuff in the encyclopedia today, I think I can take some pride in the entry I wrote on Jazz and Poetry. It's not a purely conventional approach to the subject, and I think it makes some important points.

I've put the Jazz and American Poetry essay up on my website.

http://www.opus40.org/tadrichards

Then go to the "essays on poets and poetry" section.

OK, not that this will be of any general interest, but I've put up the rest of the poet essays on my webpage.
