science is cool

so, not only do we have robots driving around on mars, sending back all kinds of cool info and taking pictures and stuff, but we've (meaning humanity) just landed a robot on a freaking comet. a comet! a 4-mile wide chunk of rock and ice and dust and stuff, leftover from the formation of our own solar system several billions of years ago. and there's a little landing craft on there, doing science!

way to go, people!

XKCD doing a continually updated comic.

neat stuff. Takes 30 minutes to communicate back to Earth from there. I believe we're going to diamond-encrust it and terraform it now. That's what the big black monolith said anyway.

That we were able to pull this off says some great things about mankind.
That the story I saw of this on a website was right next to the one where Kim Kardashian was displaying her naked ass says something else entirely.

I clicked on a fb trending link, her ass is bigger than
anything in orbit up there. Maybe NASA can back burner
the hover thing and land something on her to one up the
Europeans.

NASA is no longer interested in missions to the moon.
