Another (and hopefully our last) interfamilial squabble, but this is one matchup that was the source of a MAJOR MOTION PICTURE!

These two meet in the Soldiers, Spies, and Vigilantes bracket of the Marvel Conference.

Well, to be fair, if we're going by the numbers, throughout most of Bucky's history, the Kremlin called the shots (through backchannels).

The second round of Cap quitting the gig aside (US Agent and all that), I never really cared for Mister Red-White-and-Blue until relatively recently; Englehart Cap may be the definitive Cap to most, but Mark Waid's work (Man Out of Time, e.g.) without losing what's essential, and Ed Brubaker's recent work (Winter Soldier and Death of Captain America, e.g.) is maybe the finest Cap-- and adds the finest-shaded personality gradations of the Captain-- I've ever read. And then there's Civil War.

Wait, Steve "Jeets" Rogers is named after Captain America? I always thought that was his real name.

Bucky was Cap's sidekick in the 1940s. He was thought to have been killed by the Red Skull. But he was brought back in later years as the brainwashed Russian agent, the Winter Soldier. You'd get all this if you saw the 2 Captain America movies of the last few years.

Bucky is a hugely important part of Captain America's history. It was great that he (along with Peter Parker's Uncle Ben) was one of the very few Marvel characters that were never brought back from the dead.

Until, of course, they brought him back from the dead. In theory I would have been opposed to this, but they did it in such a good way that I'm totally okay with it.

But there's no way I vote for Bucky over Cap.

Bucky takes a licking, 18-2.

It was much closer in the movie.
