Two primitives match up in the Non-Powered Heroes Bracket of the DC/Indie Conference --- a Robin Hood-styled archer and an Old West slinger of guns. Both have to be fast to live. Who's your man? Base of Operations: Western US, California Teams: Justice League Teams: Pretty much a loner, but fought for the Army of the Confederacy, and has a hall pass to ride with a bunch of Native American tribes. Signature Lines: "At my core, I wasn't a hero. I was a hunter." Signature Lines: "I'm sending you ta Hell with a message. When you meet the Devil... tell 'em Jonah Hex sends his regards." Arch-Enemy: Merlyn Arch-Enemy: Quentin Turnbull Powers: Expert archer and marksman. Fast, too. Good with the gadgets. Stays in great shape. Has a lot of money. Pretty heartless which allows him to react without thinking. Powers: Expert marksman, fast on the draw. Good, tough fighter, expert tracker, and the survival instinct of a loner. Weaknesses: Flesh and blood mortal. In The Dark Knight returns, we jump ahead to a future where he's working with one arm. He also has an anarchist streak, which creates ambigituity about whether he should be fighting any particular villian or instead fight the system, which tends to make him an annoying and tiresome partner. Weaknesses: No superpowers. And don’t say it to his face, but he's not a handsome fellow.

Green Arrow since i'm enjoying the show. Though he seems to be very much Batman.

Green Arrow, almost entirely because I don't know Jonah Hex.

This is harder than i thought. I'm a big Ollie Queen fan. I have the whole Denny O'Neil/Neil Adams run of "socially relevant" GL/GA books from the early 70s, and i have alot of the Mike Grell books from the 80s-90s. I always liked his sexy relationship with Black Canary, who was hot but no pushover. But Jonah Hex... well, he's the only western comic character i ever liked. Maybe Red Wolf, too, but that's it. Plus, the hideous disfigurement and just a hint of the occult in the background. Yeah, he was a hard dude. Hard. Diamond hard. You-can-roller-skate-on-him hard. But no, it's got to be Ollie. But sorry, Jonah, that I set you up to get knocked off so early. By the way, i hate the ARROW TV series . Its like G.A. 90210. And Jonah got screwed over by that awful movie adaptation with Josh Brolin. Brolin was actually perfect for the part, but the movie was dreadful.

I voted for the cowboy, thinking that he banged more saloon ladies. That guy in tights with the arrows, he's going to be emptying his quiver into a paper towel most nights, if you catch my meaning.
