Cos

So how about that Cos? There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of options left to frame him as.

[list:n7rgivoc]>Serial rapist (more likely every day).
>Sometimes rapist that has a lot of false victims piling on (it happens, but).
>Falsely accused guy that has a lot of people caught up in a lot of crazy hysteria, but still looking like a pretty terrible person.[/list:u:n7rgivoc]

As unlikely as the latter two possibilities are, none of them are palatable.

Notable in that virtually nobody in Hollywood is stepping up to vouch for the guy. His defenders so far amount to saxophonist Tony Williams (friend going back to six decades to college) and Whoopi Goldberg (who also seems like a lousy person and has a track record of not being able to see straight when it comes to rape).

He has the option of riding out his remaining days in splendor and wrapping himself in his money and whatever toady friends haven't abandoned him, but aren't a lot of options for his mortified his wife and daughters.

If nothing else, he won't get to do 100 commencement addresses a year anymore.

If it's all true, glad it came out while he's still alive.

Re: Cos

I was raised on Cosby. Even before his big hit show, which peaked during my pre teen years and was a regular staple in our house. My dad had his records, which my brother and I listened to as kids.

I'm not saying rape is funny. But the funny part of this is that in the midst of all of this Cosby's media team decided that his "fans" should make "memes" out of his image. Boy did that go bad... for him. Not for comedy fans. For us, it's yuks and yuks.

It's sad when one of the beloved figures of your youth, who has done so many positive things, turns out to have such an evil side.

When I think of Cosby, I always think back to his work on The Electric Company. As a kid, I was impressed that a big star was taking time out to do something to help kids. I still think that was very cool.

But damn, it wasn't a license for him to abuse women. It's just sickening.

And apparantly THAT should have ceased long ago!

It's impossible to believe that all these women are making it up.
