Two battle-hardened nooks meet in the Aliens and Androids Bracket of the Marvel Conference. Take it outside, guys. Outside the solar system. Someone could get hurt.

Song I Think Of:"Say it Loud, I'm Black, I'm Proud"Song I Think Of:"Hooked on a Feeling"
Powers:"An inhuman mutant, he's, like, a super-superhero. He's got flight, and also super-dude strength, stamina, durability, and reflexes, and enhanced speed and agility. Destructive hypersonic voice, like Banshee and Canary, only not like them. It's like a Death Star voice, capable of destroying planets. He can channel all his engergy i one incredible knockout punch called the the Master Blow. You want to dodge this if you can. He has molecular manipulation powers which allows for his flight (500 mph, protected by a field). Communicates telepahtically with his family."Powers:He's a good pack leader and good in hand-to-hand combat and improvising. He's good with handling weapons and other tech. He wears a high-tech suit that gives him enhanced strength and durability and rocket boots and ability to survive in space. He has a big gun that can shoot earth, air, fire, and water. He also has a sentient ship that can alter her shape and create gizmos for him. He's got a psychic link to her, so she bails him out.
Weaknesses:Wears a helmet that helps him control and focus his powers. Want to stop him. Mess with the helmet. It has goalposts on it. His voice is so powerful that he has to remain silent, as even a whisper can take out a building. That can be counterproductive.Weaknesses:It's mostly tech with this guy. Lucky sod. He's a smart-ass SOB, so get him without his tech, DARE HIM to put away the gizmos and the suit and the psychic link to his ship, and you may get him.

Re: CPF WotS, Rd. 1: Black Bolt vs. Star-Lord

Star-lord has been popularized in the recent GUARDIANS movie, but he's strictly 2nd tier.
Black Bolt is a tragic hero on a Shakespearean level.

No contest.

This is one of my earliest Marvel comics, and it was the first time I encountered the Hulk as well as the Inhumans. I loved this issue; it doesn't really stand up as one of the best comics ever, but I have a sentimental attachment to it. I was ten years old, and this was one of the coolest things I ever read.

I list Gene Simmons as his potential portrayer, because Simmons has credited BB with being part of the inspiration for the Demon's stage costume.

I'm still hung up on the goalposts, though.

I'll go Black Bolt for the Medusa wife. I bet he insists they do it with the lights off.

Why would he want the lights off??

(Another shameless attempt to get Fman99 to vote for Black Bolt.)

Yeah, me too. But I had to discover the Silver Age differently; mostly by buying cheap back issues at Bargain Books on Main Street in Smithtown, NY. (I got Fantastic Four #48, the first appearance of the Silver Surfer, for only 75 cents! I should have bought a dozen of them!)

In the grand scheme of things neither of these characters can be considered "top tier" and if they are 2nd tier there must only be two tiers.

Re: CPF WotS, Rd. 1: Black Bolt vs. Star-Lord

Star-Lord's a (charming, admittedly) third-tier guy with a bullet... Black Bolt's only second tier because he hasn't had enough good stories written about him-- he's easily a Namor-class power-slash-monarch.
