His daughter is cute. Maybe we should make a long-term plan... have one of our single CPF members marry Miss Wilpon and eventually take over the Mets.

Re: #Jeff

Of course, the downside of that would be having Jeff Wilpon for a father-in-law. Try not to get his daughter pregnant before you marry her. I hear he doesn't like that.

I was just looking at Jeff's Wiki page for a minute and it
says they have a kid, Bradley, who was drafted by the
Red Sox this year. If I knew that, I didn't remember it.

This is the greatest idea of all time. Who's single here? Steve J Rogers, we have a mission for you.

Ha! , by the looks of it I am a bit old for her. I doubt Jeff would sanction such a move.

@GreenwichMets , so Jeffy that.

29th round - although there's no record of him playing this summer and I'm guessing that he probably opted for college over signing.

on edit: and now that I actually read the previous link it appears that he's going to Penn, where I suspect that a Greenwich, Ct kid listed at 5' 10"/175 is a more likely bet to star at Wharton than on the diamond.

Seriously? Fucking hell. And we wonder why this organization doesn't give a flying fig about the fan base? Maybe it's because we're collectively, publicly, a bunch of d-bags. (Present company excepted, of course.)

Re: #Jeff

Well, anyone who has 'wilpon' in their twitter account is asking for trouble eventually. My son, who is not the progeny of anyone of the slightest note, knew better than to put his last name on the Twitter account he opened at the tender age of 16 (and tweeted on exactly 4 times).

It doesn't justify on-line abuse, but jeez, ya gotta be careful out there, Amanda.

If acknowledging your name is a dumb because of sports associations, I'd rather be wrong.

25 years old and probably smarter than her dad.

Unless you are someone who uses it for work purposes (like a sportswriter, a publicist, etc) using your real name on twitter is not a great idea. This doesnt take away at all from how wrong anyone attacking her is, but still not smart.

Yes and no. I haven't looked because I've unfollowed most of the dreck on Twitter, but if the discovery of a Wilpon daughter online leads "fans" to harass her in any way, then yes, there are bunch of d-bags who are making the rest of us look bad.

Maybe not, but let's not confuse the gravity of foolishness and malice.

That's a bridge that's really hard to imagine building and
even harder to cross. No way I'm cutting the Wilpns some
no-giving-flying-fig because their daughter got some ribbing
on social media.

how would twitter be different from any social media in this regard?

I'm not sure I really care, or if anyone really cares, but
it's a slow day and I'm curious... what exactly happened?

If something really bad happened, wouldn't this be on the
news or in the papers? Is it or has it been?
