He asked a question. You know how twitter ignorant I am. I'm always asking about it too. I have no clue.

I believe seawolf? set that up. Every new thread here gets a tweet. Unrelated to that ,every post here gets into the RSS feed.

To answer Kase's question, yes, any time you @ someone, Twitter finds it.

Do we need to reel in some setting? I'm embarrassingly clueless

no. It's fine for each thread to get a tweet, that's sorta the point. Of course, without an actual social media presence (i.e. non-thread tweets) very few people actually follow or see the threads to be enticed to jump in and post so.. It's not a setting within the forum, someone set it up, i'm just blanking on who.
RSS means Really Simple Syndication. It's basically just a stream of text that other places can read. You can think of it just like reagular tv syndication. Every post/thread here goes into an XML document and RSS feed readers can interpret that into posts and content. Our twitter feed reads that ,and every time it sees a new thread it creates a tweet out of it. Twitter is about constant tweets. Think about it like the office gossip around a water cooler, except you get to choose who's there and if it gets too loud/spammy you can kick people out or simply walk away and close Twitter.

I think our Twitter benefactor might have been our captain in exile, Soupcan.
