The Vladdy Wars: Part Two

You remember the Vladdy Wars. The Mets were negotiating with the 'Pos for their star right fielder, but were shy because of reports on his back.

Well, that was 2004. Jim Duquette Days. At the time, the guy the Mets should have been looking at (maybe they were!) was Vladdy's then-five-year-old son, Vladdy Jr. Yes, he was born in 1999. He is now a strapping 6'2", 220-pound 15-year-old that the Mets are in the running for... along with the Angels, Yankees, and Blue Jays.

Check out video of him punishing beisbols.

There oughta be a rule against getting that big in only 15 years.
I think age 15 is about the time I was tipping the scales at ONE-Twenty!

I was probably 6'2" at 15... and about 150 lbs soaking wet

Word on the street is that Vladdy Jr. will be signing with Toronto.

Valadius works an interesting street, with Huggy Bear giving tips on foreign amateur signings.

Sons of major leaguers have had a wide range of success. Mets who immediately come to mind were Todd Hundley (son of Randy) and Lee May Jr.
It will be interesting to see how Vlad II does, no matter which team signs him.

MFS62 was listing sons who played for the Mets.

Sons of police officers, sons of farmers, and sons of cabinet makers also have a wide range of success.

Sons of bankers and sons of lawyers usually turn around and say good morning to the night.

Sons of Anarchy are pretty handy with the ol' lumber.

Sons of Sam aren't quite as good.

Re: The Vladdy Wars: Part Two

and sons of millionaires wake up on third base and think they've hit a triple. Then they run daddy's franchise into the ground.

Sons of other types bear a striking resemblance to their popses, sometimes.
