When one of their stupid experimens wounded and disfugured him, his dad outfitted his body with robotic parts. | How He Came to Be: | A disgraced football player from the 25th century, Carter uses devices on display in the local Superhero museum to travel back to the 20th century and become a crimefighter. | Base of Operations: | Justice League Watchtower, Luna; formerly Red Room, STAR Labs, Detroit, MI; San Francisco, CA | Base of Operations: | Cleveland, OH | Teams: | Justice League; formerly Teen Titans, Titans, Titans East, New Teen Titans | Teams: | Justice League, The Conglomerate, Suicide Squad | Signature Lines: | "What, do all black cyborgs look alike to you? Stronger. Faster. He's got superhuman strenth, endurance, speed, and durability. He can also interface with computers, like Data, or R2D2. His metallic replacements cover almost 2/3 of his body, so he's mostly armored. He's got jets comign out of his shoes, he's got sensors to know what's going on beyond his five senses, and he's got an IQ inflated to Wile E. Coyote level. He's also, somehow, got the ability to teleport hiself and others, and lately, his lungs have been replaced by cybernetic implants, which somehow allows him to breathe underwater. His body is heavily weaponized, with a laser in his finger and a sonic stun cannon. His parts have achieved the ability to diagnose and repair damage to themselves. | Supernatural Powers: | He has no superpowers, but he does have super equipment. These include a "power suit" (granting super strength, and possibly the power to do a really compelling business presentation), wrist blasters (projecting force blasts), force field belt (giving him invisible armor), goggles (infra-red and magnifying vision), and a flight ring (allowing him to fly!). He also has a the ability to absorb and eject mass as a projectile, but I'm not sure what gives him this ability. | Non-Super Abilities: | Even before he was upgraded, he was a great athlete and really smart. He is now his own developer, able to fabricate upgrades and enhancements to his mechanical parts. | Non-Super Abilities: | He's an excellent athlete, and an excellent athlete from the 25th century is probably pretty awesome, because you know they'll have undetectable 'roids by then. | Weaknesses: | He's not happy about being a cyborg. But what are you gonna do? Sulk? Sometimes he sulks. His teleportation ability isn't flawless and sometimes he ends up bringing people to Apokolips. He's also vulnerable to hacking. | Weaknesses: | No true weaknesses, except his powers come from technology --- tech not of his own making. Plus he's got that awkward name, bestowed on him by a brainfarting President Reagan. |
