Two longtime buddies/original X-Men/teammates on every team under the sun are forced to fight each other. Both have been around for a long time, both have had their power package change over time. Both have turned blue over the years.
Both want your vote.

I tend to think that genius-level laboratory scientist is perhaps the most common civilian identity of superheroes. | AKA: | Millionnaire playboy Warren Kenneth Worthington III; also Archangel, Avenging Angel, Dark Angel, Death. I tend to think that swinging playboy heir to a fortune is probably the most disprotionate civilian identity of superheroes. | Creator(s): | Stan Lee, Jack Kirby | Creator(s): | Stan Lee, Jack Kirby | Place of Birth: | Dundee, IL | Place of Birth: | Centerport, NY | How He Came to Be: | His father worked with atomic power, which may or may not have triggered his mutancy, but all it was evident from infancy, thought all it initially did was make him a strong athlete. But after leaving the X-Men he goes to work in a lab where he injects himself with a mutagenic serum. This turns him into something resembling a blue gorilla, but he retains his high intelligence. | How He Came to Be: | Attending Phillips Exeter Academy, wings begin sprouting from his shoulders. Initially, he feels he's a freak, but begins helping his classmates out of dangerous pickles, eventually in costume, before being recruited by Pr. Charles Xavier for the X-Men. (By my reckoning, his Phillips contemporaries would have included brewery president Peter Coors, Senator Kent Conrad, and actor Fred "Gopher" Grandy.) | Base of Operations: | He's been around for a long time, and been a part of every team that'll have mutants and do good (see below). Their haunts are too numerous to mention. | Base of Operations: | All the teams he'sbeen on? (See below.) He's hung his hat wherever those teams have camped out, including earth-based and celestial headquarters. Beyond that, he has apartments in New York, NY, and Los Angeles, CA, and tools around the New Mexican highlands. His Colorado penthouse was the Defenders headquarters. You always want a rich guy on your team. | Teams/Affiliations: | X-Men, X-Factor, X-Club, S.W.O.R.D., Xavier Institute For Higher Learning, Avengers, Defenders, X-Terminators, Secret Avengers, Illuminati, Jean Grey School, All New X-Men (Time displaced version) | Teams/Affiliations: | X-Men, X-Factor, X-Force, X-Club, Mutantes Sans Frontières, Renegades, Champions of Los Angeles, Defenders, Secret Defenders, Hellfire Club, Horsemen of Apocalypse, X-Terminators, Worthington Industries, Cheyarafim Jean Grey School | Signature Lines: | "My stars and garters!" | Signature Lines: | "Not now. I got a thing to kill." | Arch-Enemy: | Dark Beast | Arch-Enemy: | Apocalypse | Sidekick(s): | None. | Sidekick(s): | No side dishes for Angel, but in recent times a young Angel and an old angel appear to have been resurrected after a deathly attack, and have flown together a bit. | Paramour(s): | Vera Cantor, Linda Donaldson, Trish Tilby, Jean Grey/Phoenix, Abigail Brand | Paramour | Jean Grey/Phoenix (mostly unrequited), Candy Southern, Alison Blaire/Dazzler (unrequited), NYPD Officer Charlotte Jones, Psylocke/Elizabeth Braddock, Paige Guthrie/Husk, Miranda Leevald/Stacy X | Has Been Played By: | Steve Bacic, Kelsey Grammer, Nicholas Holt | Once Played By: | Ben Foster, Cayden Boyd | Could Have Been Played By: | Jack Palance | Could Have Been Played By: | Jason Louis | Song I Think Of: | "The Beast in Me" | Song I Think Of: | "Be My Angel" | Supernatural Powers: | "His ability may be atavistic, but not definitively, because he retains his genius intellect. He basically has the strength and abilities and instincts of a great ape/proto-human. So, we're talking superhuman strength, speed, reflexes, agility, flexibility, dexterity, coordination, balance, and endurance, with equal dexterity with all four limbs. Ability to use your hands and feet equally comes in handy in combat, but also for a genius lab scientiest, and certainly for libidinous young man. His advanced senses make him a kiler in the field, able to smell enemies approaching, remaining scents of enemies gone from the scene, and track them on their trail. Forget smell, he can hear them a mile off. Well, not a mile, but... .
A subsequent mutation has given him a near instantaneous healing factor (this is largely gone) go along with a miscolored and hairy body. A nice side bonus is the ability to emit pherenomes at will, which works wonders." | Supernatural Powers: | "Angel's main power is wing-based flight. He can shrink those wings down and compress them into his torso so you only spot them under his clothes if you are looking. He's got hollow bones, making him light for flight, and he processes food very efficiently, all to make him just a wonderful flyer. Other abilities relative to his flight include ability to breathe normally at altitude, withstand wind in his eyes, enhanced vision, and a generally enhanced sense of danger he calls his ""angel keen sense."" His skills and agility in the air have allowed him to defeat much stronger flying beings, like the human torch, and his wings are deceptively strong extra limbs, able to break human bones with a flap. He's acquired a healing capacity in his blood that has come to be seen as near miraculous, as he has brought a dog back from the dead.
He's got this alternate persona called Archangel, from when a time that he had sharp metallic wings that shot razorblade-like feathers. It seems that he can regrow these wings at will, and as this version of him is more deadly (if more unpredictable), he reverts to this form in a crisis.
Along the way, he's encountered a healing ability, turning his blood into a miracle drug, and he may be able to raise the dead." | Non-Super Abilities: | Hank's genius-level intellect may be connected to his X-genes, but is largely considered to just be good luck with the standard genetic deal of the cards. His specialty is biochemistry, which is a smart choice for a living biochemical experiment. He's well-versed in quantum physics/quantum mechanics, too, so he's cool with time travel. He's a polyglot, mastering several languages, and is advanced in the humanities as well (music, poetry, philosophy. And I'm sure if he was marooned on Gilligan's Island he could make a coconut into a radio. | Non-Super Abilities: | "He's an outstanding hand-to-hand combatant, having trained with the best during his tenures in X-Men and X-Factor, and this, combined with his agility in the air have allowed him to defeat stronger and faster foes (the Human Torch, for instance), even impressing Wolverine.
He's inherited his father's money and business sense, making him rich and capable of getting richer." | Weaknesses: | His secondary mutation made him prone to bezerker rages. He has other bestial issues, and base instincts that he struggles to control. His heightened senses can, in fact, be used against him, in much the way odorous food can lead and animal into a trap. | Weaknesses: | Perhaps due in part to his shallow prepschooler makeup, he's shown a frequent tendency to be seduced by the dark side, and certainly may find himself so seduced again. He retains some sort of nominal membership (at least) in a group called the Horsemen of Apocalypse (his name on this team: "Death"!), whose mission statement, at least originally, was no less than the destruction of mankind. |
