Not the track at THAT Shea Stadium.

The track at THIS Shea Stadium.

Re: The Track at Shea Stadium

I remember taking a tour of West Point back in the 1980s, and there was a little boy on the tour who was a rabid drooling Mets fan. (In a cute way, of course.) When he heard that they had a "Shea Stadium" he was deliriously happy. I remember I gave him a folded Mets schedule from my wallet. (I seem to recall it being a 1987 schedule; was that when they had that orange Number 1 logo?) He was thrilled by the pocket schedule too.

So anyway, yes, I knew that there was a Shea Stadium up that way. Nice to know that there's still at least one of them around.

Here's one, too! The former home of the Peoria Chiefs -- Midwest-A -- is now a part of Bradley University, which promptly renamed the field "Shea Stadium."

I've been to that field a couple times for Chiefs games. No Mets were there, though!

I think there is a relevant music venue somewhere in NY called Shea Stadium.

Also Williamsburg's favorite night club. See how they rock!

The University of North Florida in Jacksonville doesn't realize it's sort of honoring a great man.
