I figured out a way to make sure the Mets make the playoffs this year. Double the schedule to play 324 games. Double-header every day. Pitching staff and catching staff is allowed to double. Everyone else sacks up and plays 2.

It's kinda scary that you could go 10 deep with the pitching staff. Good scary.

The team's pitching staff is deep enough that one might be tempted to say the backup unit alone would look like an average major league staff.
