Pictures of Shea

I didn't know where to stick this so I made a thread for The Ol' Girl.
Someone posted it on one of the Mets' fb pages, forget which one,
but I like the colors and the angle. Sunny and close to fifty here
today and I have spring fever I guess...

Are you talking about the couple on the lower right? I love her coat! I love how everyone is dressed up

Re: Pictures of Shea

Maybe those tags are for the World's Fair? They don't appear to be going to Shea Stadium.

Re: Pictures of Shea

You could tell that the photo was taken during the WF era even without any FB knowledge. Just look for the World's Fair flags flying from the open end of Shea.

Yup©
The buses look like little Matchboxes I wish I still had.
Shame a third of the pic is all sky.

I've been looking so long at these pictures of Shea
That I almost believe that they're real

I don't think that green subway station there has been painted since.

Me too. Wouldn't it be funny if we were all there on the same day?

I'm surprised it didn't get the same orange and blue treatment that the LIRR stop down the ramp has.
