This is the first of two Round 2 Matchups featuring Rogue, who beat Colossus, 7-3. Wolverine, you'll remember, tied Dazzler in Round One and is looking to scratch out a victory.

Song I Think Of:"Spider-Man"Song I Think Of:"Kiss Me Deadly"
Supernatural Powers:Super healing, adamantium-infused skeleton, razor-sharp adamantium claws, fangs, long life, enhanced strength, savage fighting skills, animal-like enhanced sensory abilities.Supernatural Powers:Rogue can absorb the powers, energies, memories, knowledge, talents, personality and physical abilities (whether superhuman or not) of another human being (or members of some sentient alien races) through physical contact of her skin with the skin of the other person. This transfer is usually temporary, lasting for a period of time relative to how long contact is maintained, but the transfer may become permanent in certain cases. For example, she absorbed Ms. Marvel's powers permanently. This power can be lethal.

As she has carried Ms. Marvel with her much of her story, this generally gives her super strength, invulnerability and flight at her disposal.
Non-Super Abilities:Master of martial arts, excellent with all hand weapons and firearms, but naturally prefers blade weapons. He's like 130 years old so he's had plenty of time to study, and a lot of combat for trial-and-error. He knows your pressure points.

He's an accomplished pilot, and an even more accomplished polyglot, able to gruffly speak English, Japanese, Russian, Chinese, Cheyenne, Spanish, Arabic, and Lakota fluently. He also has some French, Filipino, Thai, Vietnamese, German, Italian, Portuguese, Korean, Hindi, and Persian, which just isn't fair. He's a great gymnast and a chess genius, which is a good demonstration that despite him lacking the personality to lead, he sure has the tactical acumen, making him the superhero equivelant of the sort of highly field sargeant on whom battle after battle turns, but is nonetheless seen as "not officer material."
Non-Super Abilities:She doesn't need too many, but she can drive a bike.
Stuff:His main equipment is inside of him, his adamantium skeleton and claws. He mostly travels light apart from that, though he can get his hands on a motorcycle or the X-Men's jet when he needs it. In recent times, he's lost his famed healing factor (don’t worry, he'll get it back) and has worn Peter Parker-devised "Ablation Armor" which can supposedly withstand a radioactive blast.Stuff:She's got a bike and a leather jacket.
Weaknesses:People love him, but don't like him, so his relationships are all stormy. He's a vicious walking weapon and outlives everybody he loves (and has killed some of them), so he carries the weight of the world on his hairy shoulders. He also seems to bear quite the drinking problem. As much as his healing abilities keep the drink from effecting him during a fight, it isn't clear whether or not it protects him from chemical addiction.Weaknesses:Absorbing all these parts of the personalities of others can be confusing and disorienting, and Ann Marie never had a stable personality to begin with. Also, for most of her story, she has no control of her power, leaving her unable to touch anybody without putting the whammy on them. This leads to a heightened alienation and intense frustration at being horny but unable to so much as kiss anybod without them instantly blacking out (at least!).

Re: CPF WotS, Rd. 2: Wolverine vs. Rogue

When I had my surgery last year, I couldn't shave on the edge of my jaw. So, until I could, the hair grew very long. People at work said I looked like Wolverine.
It was traumatic.
Screw that.
I'm voting for Rogue.

Wolverine is leading Rogue, and Rogue is leading Dazzler, yet Wolverine and Dazzler ended in a tie.

Dazzler's star has fallen, probably because I didn't post a butt shot.

Re: CPF WotS, Rd. 2: Wolverine vs. Rogue

Overused more than a bit, and stuck with some goofy contrivances (selective amnesia, turning into a noseless beast) for spells, Logan's still a rich, compelling character at his base. Rogue's great, but, man, alive... that Gambit business is tough to get over at this juncture.

I endorse that notion and encourage you to stay with it. Gambit indeed has the Sidam touch. Everything he touches turns to shit.
