It's Daylight Savings Time, So Expect to Hear From Me!

Why is it even necessary for me to go into my settings and tinker with the DST setting. Why can't the site just give the right time all year along without my having to help it? Why? Are there people here that want the time to be off by an hour? Anybody here from Arizona?

And another thing! When I logged off, after re-setting the DST settings, I noticed that the clock is still off by an hour. The clock setting's right only when I'm logged on. Isn't this an issue every furshlugginer year?

I suppose this means that the clock has to be set manually, and that the site's not programmed to automatically display the correct time. Probably just in case anybody here's from Arizona, I'd bet.

Re: It's Daylight Savings Time, So Expect to Hear From Me!

Because it makes more sense, I guess, to program a web site that accommodates Arizona and Hawaii and Guam --- while all the rest of the 98% of the USA can go to hell and let the 98% of them hafta tinker with their DST settings every six months --- all so that the CPF member from Arizona doesn't hafta do anything. God forbid if someone from American Samoa should hafta have their CPF forum board off by an hour and be forced to go into their settings and manually set the DST setting.

Am I making myself redundantly clear?

Jeez, I was just gonna edit my last post to change "redundantly" to "obnoxiously". But you ruined that for me.

Big fan of obnoxiously! I'm on Atlantic time now.

I was worried it was my phone until I looked at a real clock

Now it's almost ten minutes slow, very strange. It used to be very
accurate like within seconds of official time.

Re: It's Daylight Savings Time, So Expect to Hear From Me!

Here we go again. It's that time. The forum clock's off by an hour whether or not I'm logged in. So I shut off my DST settings. Now the clock is right only when I'm logged in. I take it, from all these years, that someone has to do something manually to straighten out the clocks, because it ain't gonna happen automatically.
