The Marlins have a lot of vowels in their catching corps, and no small amount of consonants as well, with Jarrod Saltalmacchia backed up by J.T. Realmuto.

Naturally. Also, Michael Morse. Free agent signing. World Champion with the Giants last year. had a good year.2/$16 pretty good deal for the fish. annual performance bonus: $0.25M for 550 plate appearances he's exactly 3 days older than I am. been rated pretty poorly as a defender, but getting most of the time at first with the Marlins so far instead of the outfield. feast or famine type guy. Drives the ball but strikes out a ton. Overall, a pretty good hitter, one of the few the Marlins have with any reliability.

Keystone manned by Adeiny Hechavarria (.242, 1 HR, 5 RBIs, 6 R, tons of letters in both names). Rumor has it that he is the reborn spirit of Duane Allman.

Veteran Martin Prado is one of those guys who by many accounts deserves the "great teammate" tag but at the same time he can't stop getting traded.

The Marlins have what is frequently referred to as the "best young outfield in baseball," and occasionally as "the best young outfield in baseball until the Mets simultaneously promote Nimmo and Conforto."

In CF for Miami is Marcell Ozuna who has burned us in the past both offensively and defensively.

Psst! Don't wake the sleeping giant-- currently batting .200/.368/.267 through 38 PAs, with just 2 XBH and NO HOME RUNS-- in right field!

I hadn't realized that Ichiro was with the Marlins now. I'd just assumed he was still on the Yankees' bench full of old dudes.

As always, rooting for three Mets blowout wins and then a pitcher's-duel-then-beat-the-bullpen on Sunday.
