Infield Jam

What a difference a day makes. One day I'm comparing Dilson Herrera's output to that of Bartolo Colon, and that night, he looks like Roberto Alomar in his prime.

So what do you do when Wright comes back? Are you leaning toward keeping Dilson around, and going forward with the Murphy/Herrera transition? They only have five infielders now, so they can shuffle off a pitcher or even a catcher instead of sending somebody down, but then what do you do with him? Do you have him as a reserve? Do you start him and make Murphy the long-desired super sub? Do you let them share the position?

DO YOU SMELL A TRADE?!!

Forget I asked, as Wright has been shut down from beisbol activities after reporting lower back discomfort.

Bad news about David, but in response to your OP question, seeing a larger sample size from both Herrera and Murph in the coming weeks should help out with an answer about who survives once Wright comes back.

I can't wait until Matt Reynolds further complicates the infield situation.
I think the extended look (since Wrights not back due to back) at Herrera is a very good thing. I'll have more to say as time goes by.

Re: Infield Jam

I guess we need a thirdbasenan for the forseeable future.

How about

1B DUDA
2B HERERRA
SS FLORES/TEJADA
3B MURPHY

I guess they could try to get a 3B if David's problems linger through the AS break.

Off topic, but is Wright kinda like washed up or maybe the second cming of Scott Rolen??
