Concert

I have to pat myself on the back, even though I deserve exactly none of the credit. I just put on, here at Opus 40, one of the greatest concerts I have ever heard - Mexican guitarist Gil Gutierrez and my friend Bob Stern on violin. It's hard to describe what Gil does. I've seen critics try, and what they end up with is "magic." There is virtually no kind of music that they don't touch on, from classical to folk to gypsy jazz to latin to Jimi Hendrix -- all in the same piece! We're going to have them back next year, to do a morning concert in the amphitheater. Make plans to come.
