Memories of Dillon Gee
themetfairy Jun 15 2015 02:52 PM |
Aside from yesterday's memory of being pissed off that I was going to see Gee pitch instead of Thor, I simply remember Dillon as a nice guy who constantly signed autographs and who was moderately effective until his recent injury. I wish him well, but feel that the Mets got as much out of him as they were going to get.

In general, very much the bulldog. His head and arm truly supplemented his arm.

I may have started remembering Dillon prematurely. We'll see whether he ultimately gets traded or demoted.

We'll see indeed, but I understand the impulse to remember. He and his contract are certainly a better and more cost-effective asset than your typical DFA and he'll be unlikely to get through waivers, or to fail to gain some bites on the forced-trade market.
