K Hits + HRs

When Sir Alex of Rodrigia joined the 3K hit club the other day he did so with the highest percentage of HRs among those 3,00+ hits: 22.3% now that his totals are 3,002 and 668.
I was thinking of ways of trying to make the rest of this list into a quiz, but it's just too arcane as a lot of the pcts are fairly close to each other to the point of no practical distinction and so it becomes just a guessing game based on your knowledge of who has 3,000 hits (like Paul Waner & Eddie Collins) and who doesn't (Babe Ruth, Ted Williams, Mickey Mantle) so I'll just spill it out instead.

Mays (20.1%) and Aaron (20.0%) are the only other ones over 20%. Bringing up the rear, not surprisingly, are all the early 20th century guys ... and Rod Carew.

So after the above three:
th - Rafael Palmiero - 18.8%
- Eddie Murray = 15.5%
- Dave Winfield - 15.0%
- Cal Ripken - 13.5%
- Al Kaline - 13.3%
- Carl Yastrzemski - 13.2%
- Stan Musial - 13.1%
- George Brett - 10.1%
- Rickey Henderson - 9.7%
- Craig Biggio - 9.5%
- Roberto Clemente - 8.0%
- Robin Yount - 8.0%
- Derek Jeter - 7.5%
- Paul Molitor - 7.1%
- Lou Brock - 4.9%
- Tony Gwynn - 4.3%
- Wade Boggs - 3.9%
- Pete Rose - 3.8%
- Paul Waner - 3.6%
- Tris Speaker - 3.3%
- Rod Carew - 3.0%
- Honus Wagner - 3.0%
- Cap Anson - 2.8%
- Ty Cobb - 2.8%
- Nap Lajoie - 2.5%
- Eddie Collins - 1.4%

Re: 3K Hits + HRs

Derek Jeter = surprisingly not the worst player on that list.
